How do I login to the app?

The app is your ultimate guide for navigating RT Leadership Connect. Explore the full agenda and add wellness activities to your schedule, get to know our keynote speakers and fellow attendees, check out our local's guide to Melbourne, and stay up to date with real time notifications throughout the week.

 

Download the Cvent app on mobile or tablet before your arrival from the Google Play store or the Apple App store.

 

After downloading and opening the app, you need to:

 

1. Enter the event ID: RTLCMELB2024

2. Provide your first name, last name and email address

3. Enter the login verification code sent to you either via SMS or email

4. If required, click the download icon (down arrow) on the right to open the app

Do I need to book my own travel?

Yes, you need to book your own flights and relevant travel visas, as required.

​

Do I need to book my own accommodation?

No. All attendees have 4 nights booked at W Hotel, Melbourne:
Monday, 20 May
Tuesday, 21 May
Wednesday, 22 May
Thursday, 23 May - check out Friday, 24 May

If you require additional nights outside of these dates, please supply your requested dates during the registration process and they will be booked on your behalf. Any additional nights will be payable on arrival.

If you have not yet arranged your travel plans, please email RTLeadershipConnect@riotinto.com once you have confirmed your plans.

Accommodation confirmation emails will be sent by the end of March.

 

After confirmations are sent, date changes can be requested directly with the hotel at groups.melbourne@whotels.com.

 

What dates do I need to book my travel for? 

ExCo

Arrive on the morning of Sunday, 19 May and depart on Friday, 24 May.

 

All other guests

Arrive on the morning of Monday, 20 May and depart on Friday, 24 May.

 

Official programming will conclude at approximately 10PM following our closing celebration on Thursday,

23 May.

If you are staying for SLT meetings, you should manage your additional accommodation needs per the details in the question above. Please speak to your ExCo member about your individual SLT meeting.

Will there be an event app? 

Yes, you'll receive a link via email to download and login to the app prior to the event. The app will be your ultimate event guide to make the most of your experience. You'll be able to: 

• Check out the agenda, read about our guest speakers and see the detail on our evening events 

• Add activities from our wellness program to your personalised agenda 

• Get real-time updates about changes to the schedule or important announcements 

• And more! 

 

Do I need to attend each day/all events? 

All leaders are required to attend this event in its entirety, with our days kicking off with breakfast together and concluding with an evening meal.

I’m located in Melbourne. Can I stay at home and travel to the venue each day?

To support connection with colleagues, this is a residential experience. We ask that all attendees, including those based in Melbourne, stay at the event hotel and travel as a group to/from all event programming.

 

What is the dress code for RT Leadership Connect?

We recommend wearing smart-casual, comfortable clothing throughout the event.

What should I pack?

We recommend you pack: 

• Smart-casual clothing for day programming that can also be worn to dinner and evening functions

• At least one warm jumper and a jacket for cooler evenings

• Closed-in shoes with socks

• Swimwear, should you choose to enjoy the facilities at W Melbourne

• Activewear & appropriate footwear for a range of optional wellness activities

Who can provide travel documentation for my visa application?

AMEX will advise you if you require a visa to enter Australia and will connect you with your local CIBT office to process your application.

 

The CIBT specialist will let you know what supporting documentation is required for your application.

 

If you anticipate conducting other business meetings or activities in addition to this trip, please make CIBT aware as this may impact visa entry.
